Who are we?

The Minecraft Society (MCSoc) is a student society based at the University of New South Wales in Sydney. We're a group of people who enjoy Minecraft, its culture and its community, and our society exists to share that passion for this wonderful game and all things related to it! Joining Minecraft Society is free for all UNSW students! We also welcome non-UNSW students to join and share our love for Minecraft. To join our society, please see Join Us.

Our Minecraft Server

The Minecraft Society provides a professionally hosted Minecraft server to all of its members for free. Members enjoy a fun, social and grief-free environment where they can build with other society members, explore our custom-generated world, or simply play survival.

Rules

A complete set of our rules are located in Section 8.6 of our society constitution, but a summary is available below.

No abuse or bullying of other players.
Use of hacks and cheating software is banned.
Griefing in any form is banned.
EXTREME abuse of exploits is banned.
- E.g. TNT duping, bedrock removal etc.
- Minecraft is full of exploits to enjoy. It's what makes this game great, so if you want to use one, it's best to ask an exec or admin.
Keep your creative and artistic content sensible and safe for work (please).

Note: If you entered your username in the form to be whitelisted on our server, it will take up to 15 minutes for the whitelist to be updated. Sending in another form response won't make it any faster.
